- Pay attention to your surroundings: Be serious about situations that are most likely to pose a threat to you, and stay away from places where they could occur. You should also always be on the lookout for problems handling machines may cause.

- Sit well to keep your back healthy: to avoid back problems, if you work sitting behind a desk, your shoulders should form a straight line with your buttocks. Use safety equipment and furniture Health and Safety designed with your body in mind, so you don’t exert more force than necessary.

- Take regular breaks: If employees don’t pay attention to their surroundings due to overwork, they run the risk of illness, or exposure to work-related injuries. To stay fresh at work, go out for breaks regularly,

- Using machines and tools properly: Never rush when you use tools, and always take proper precautions. Do not use tools that were not specifically designed for the job, as the risk of injury on the job is greatly reduced when tools are used properly.

- Ask clearly about the location of emergency exits: You need to be able to quickly and easily reach an emergency exit when an emergency occurs. You should also be shown clearly how to access the hardware lock switch, so you know how to access it if you need to turn it off.

- Make sure employees are trained to follow health and safety procedures: First aid training is very important in the workplace, because you can’t really know what could happen, and you have to make sure that you can deal with any problems that arise. Becoming interested in training employees in first aid can provide an added sense of comfort to the company, and reassure them that you have done your best to deal with the situation should the worst happen.

- Informing supervisors about unsafe conditions: Try to inform the person responsible for supervising you about hazards that pose a threat to safety in the workplace, as they have a legal obligation to ensure that the work environment is safe for their employees. By informing them of these hazards, they can deal with unsafe working conditions.

– Use mechanical means as much as possible: Even if you just want to save time, don’t try to lift very heavy objects or carry them yourself, and allocate a few extra minutes to using a crane, conveyor belt, or wheelbarrow. Attempts to lift heavy objects are a major cause of workplace injuries.

- Do not drink alcoholic beverages: Alcohol and drugs account for 3% of workplace deaths. If you are experiencing high levels of stress at work, talk to the person in charge of supervising you, until you find a solution to the problem.

- Always use suitable safety equipment: Your risk of injury increases if you do not wear suitable safety equipment to work. The work you do may require equipment such as: a full-face mask, gloves, goggles, protective helmet, earmuffs or earmuffs.
