Colorful studies have been conducted in the history by experimenters who have proposed different results to control the unseasonable declination noted on flexible pavements. It turns out that the binder content remains a parameter so far not learned and its Bituminous Concretes optimization remains an imperative to produce a quality blend able of meeting the specialized and profitable conditions sought in a expression study. This composition substantially aimed to optimize the hydrocarbon binder content of a0/14 grainy classsemi-granular bituminous concrete using the Marshall and Duriez system. In the first part of the study, the different ingredients were characterized according to the norms in force. The alternate allowed to describe the methodology used to determine the admixture and calculated the theoretical binder content. A theoretical admixture, entering the reference zone was defined at first. Following the characterization of the admixture in the laboratory, the granulometry wind of the admixture was fitted into the reference zone. This Bituminous Concretes admixture was also saved for the rest of the study. also, it was theoretically determined bitumen contents ranging from5.13 to5.75 for wealth modules ranging from3.3 to3.7. therefore, the Marshall system was used to characterize the performance of the admixture as a function of the binder content. The results attained led to the selection of two grades of binders5.13 and5.28 for the study of water resistance using the Duriez system. On the base of the results attained on the Duriez test, the admixture with a binder content of5.28 satisfies a good part of the criteria named. This content corresponds to a wealth module of3.4.
Bituminous concrete is by far the most habituated material in Senegal for the consummation of the wearing course. druggies must appreciate the quality of the contributive wearing course of their comfort and safety. subordinated to a growing business, the wearing courses must meet multiple conditions face characteristics, rolling noise reduction, Bituminous concretes are by far the most asked material and used in Senegal for the protection of the structure, service life, reduction of density and costs. As for the expression of the coating, these conditions snappily come inharmonious with each other( 1). likewise, to completely perform its function, the face subcaste must also be suitable to repel the forces of bending, contraction and shear related to business. Indeed, the current business, of adding intensity, always requires a advanced degree of performance of asphalt blend.
Several experimenters have been interested in the once times on the causes of unseasonable deterioration of flexible pavements including routines, faiençages, ressuages, cracks and have Bituminous Concretes proposed multiple results through studies of asphalt concrete phrasings. still, the binder content parameter is one of the major sources of the problem and deserves special attention. Being studies have shown according to our talkie reviews and in practice failings and limitations on its optimization which has binary interest in both specialized and profitable.
As a result, the expression tests come more and more demanding in addition to the tests of the different ingredients. Among these conditions, it’ll be necessary in this study to corroborate the elaboration of the characteristics of the composites, similar as conciseness, creep, stability and perceptivity to water depending on the binder content. For this, we will first use after identification of the colorful ingredients, the Marshall test which is a system of determination of the content of vacuum and the mechanical characteristics of a bituminous blend. The process was developed Bituminous Concretes by Bruce Marshall in 1939( 2). Several norms frame the process similar as the European standard EN 12697- 34( 3). also the Duriez test which aims to determine, for a given contraction, the compressive strength of a test instance weight and section was determined. It also makes it possible to define the resistance to water of the blend by the rate of the compressive strengths after and before absorption of the instance in a thermostatic water bath. The test is described according to standard NF P 98-251-1 of September 2002( 4) on hot hydrocarbon fusions. Eventually an optimal binder content will be derived.
