Working attitude and working ability of soldiers: An exploratory study at the 11th National People’s Congress (2011) The 23rd Work Attitude Special Committee meeting announced the decision to revise the PRC Law on the Military Service System (effective 29 August 2012) on 29 October 2011. Meanwhile, The State Council and the Central Military Commission (2011) jointly issued the Ordinance for Resettlement of Retired Soldiers. The enactment and implementation of the two laws and regulations marked that China has made significant adjustments to the resettlement of retired soldiers, and the reform of the deployment of retired soldiers has entered a new stage. However, the profession of retired soldiers who are independent faces tough challenges, usually retired soldiers find it difficult to get suitable jobs, some even don’t get jobs. and regulation, and an unbalanced system of financial compensation. However, the most fundamental reason is the gap between job requirements and the job skills that soldiers have. Therefore, it is very important to improve the work skills of soldiers and improve their understanding of work. During this time, many scholars have suggested providing army job skills training. . This paper broadens the scope of study from the level of soldier’s work skills to the work ability of soldiers. It treats the employability of servicemen as the object of study and the work attitude of servicemen as the entry point, hoping to analyze how the work attitude of retired soldiers can affect or determine the employability of servicemen and observes whether it is possible to use the work attitude of soldiers to evaluate their employability. based on empirical research
Jos and De Grip (2004) provide the view that the essence of the modern concept of Employability comes from the willingness and ability of those who are employed, the limitations of organizational and institutional conditions, and the attractiveness of the market for labor resources. Furthermore, they find employability is the willingness and ability to remain attractive in the labor market, is the ability to predict and respond to changes in working conditions and tasks, and is a facilitation in the human resource development process. Fugate, Kinicki and Ashforth (2004) say that Employability is the ability to identify opportunities to achieve success. VanDer Heijde and Van Der Heijden (2006) show that workability is reflected continuously in the execution, acceleration and creation of tasks. McQuaid and Lindsay (2005) introduce many factors that affect individual work ability, including individual factors and external factors. Attitudes to work, on the other hand, are not an important content in economic research. Because solders can get limited opportunities for job skills trainees, their work attitudes may have a significant influence on employability. Work attitude and work ability in this paper are defined as the job seeker’s overall view of career choice, career assessment and career orientation, which reflect the basic beliefs and attitudes of job seekers. De Vos and Soens (2008) found that work attitude plays a mediating role between quality development and career success. Kalyal, Berntson, Baraldi, Näswall and Sverke (2010) found that employees with higher employability are more likely to leave when a high level of job insecurity arises. Silla, De Cuyper, Gracia, Peiro and De Witte (2009) researched that job insecurity has an interaction with work ability.
